2011 SCORPA: THE STORY CONTINUES
Scorpa is turning over a new page in its history and is back on center stage with four new motorcycles.
These new motorcycles will provide our customers with unique diversified models and expand the existing range.
The 2009 season was a very difficult period that was full of turmoil; therefore Scorpa is beginning a new chapter in its history and is already very busy. This information is being written in Nimes and the company is under new management.
Scorpa goes orange
The first visible change is in the appearance, orange will now be the base color. Exit the former blue / gray / black and welcome orange / black!
Evolution, creation and rebirth
- The two existing models from 2009 (T-Ride and SY) will remain in the catalogue.
- The “TY” family is back.
- A new family "SR" consisting of two new sport models are set for 2010.
T-Ride family expands
Formerly the T-Ride was only available as a 250R, the family will grow with the addition of the 125-4T which will utilize a single cylinder four-stroke Yamaha engine. The 250 will also continue to use the Yamaha engine.
Two models in the “SY” family
The “SY” family will consist of two 250ccc models, utilizing the Yamaha single cylinder engine. The standard model and then the “Long Ride” model which is characterized by a more comfortable seat and a larger capacity fuel tank.
"TY" Renaissance Family
The name of these bikes is derived from one of the legends of the trials world. The TY 125-4T is naturally equipped with a Yamaha engine. The SY 250-4T is being produced in the “Long Ride” version to provide beginning and recreational riders with a motorcycle that is less radical and more comfortable to allow them to experience the world of trials on a less demanding machine.
Creating the new “SR” Family to return to active competition
Two new motorcycles are being released that are equipped with powerful 2-stroke engines. The “SR” family is being created to enable the mark to return to trials competition. The new SR 125-2T and the SR 280-2T were presented at the Milan show and be available in 2010.
